Please be sure to register for courses as for a letter grade “A-F” and not as “pass-fail”.

Faculty Staff Tuition Waivers:

If possible, please locate and select the option to submit your faculty staff tuition waiver on-line while registering with MyUH Portal. This will save time and effort. Instructions can be found here:

University of Hawaii Employee Tuition Waivers

If you need to submit the waiver manually due to a family member who is a UH employee, or for any other reason such as when it is necessary to register via a paper change of registration form, you can download a Faculty Staff Tuition Waiver form here:

Facwaivr.pdf

Please fill this out, print it, and get it signed by your personnel officer, or get it to us as soon as possible.

MSCR Research Courses:The appropriate research courses to register for depends on where you are in your research process, and who is on your committee. Research courses become the focus after you have completed the didactic curriculum and/or have active research for practicum credit.

You can only take Thesis Research 700 if your Masters Form II is approved, otherwise, take 699, which can be converted to 700 later. This does not include 699′s taken in the final semester. At least 9 credits of 699/700 are required to complete the MSCR program so please plan out your semesters accordingly.

700 must be taken in the final semester of your MS degree program, when you are to graduate.

If supplemental research specific credits are required, take 660. 660 is not recommended in the final two semesters of degree progress. If you are uncertain which courses to register for, please consult with your advisor or Dr. Rodriguez.
